PRIVACY POLICY CommunityStew
(CStew) is committed to protecting your privacy. Please take a minute to read the
following policy so you understand how we use the personal information we ask
you to submit. As we update and expand our services, this policy might change,
so please refer back to it periodically. If you have questions about our privacy
policy, please e-mail us at privacy@cstew.com.
If you use any of CStew’s Services, you agree to these terms. Collection
of Information When
you subscribe for the Services of CStew for your organization, we ask you
for your organization’s name (or the name of the credit card holder, if
different), address, email address, credit card number, telephone number and a
password. Additionally, you must certify that you are at least 18 years old.
(People under 18 cannot subscribe, and people under 13 cannot use CStew’s services.) In using your Customer Site your organization’s
members and authorized visitors may input additional information into our
databases. Use
of Information We
use the information about your organization to process your orders and to
communicate with you about the status of your orders. We also use your email
address and your members’ email addresses to send you news about our Services,
as well as messages about CStew special offers, promotional announcements
and consumer surveys. Occasionally, we may provide our customers with special offers
and promotional information through postal mail, using the mailing address
provided. We only use your
telephone number if there is a service-related issue, and not for marketing
purposes. Our server stores this information so that placing future orders will
be quicker and easier. If you want to update your address or change credit
cards, go to your account and make the appropriate changes. You must be signed in to access
your account. We
also track your billing history so you can access your account and immediately determine
your account status. You can always access
the information you have provided to CStew by going to your account. You can make changes to this information to update
your account at
any time. Cookies
As
your organization’s members use the CStew site, cookies are placed on
their computers’ hard drive. (Cookies are small pieces of data that are sent
to your browser from a Web server and stored on your hard drive.) Cookies allow
us to track membership information so you don’t need to retype it each time
you visit our site. We also use cookies to gather usage information, such as the
number and frequency of visitors to our site and its various pages. Disclosure
Except
as described in this section, we will not sell, rent or disclose your, or any
member or your organization’s, personally identifying information to third
parties. We may, however, provide analyses of our members and their databases in
the aggregate to prospective business associates, advertisers and other third
parties. We do this so that our advertisers and we understand you better, and so
that we can keep bringing you first-rate services. We may also disclose, on an
anonymous basis, literal statements made by our customers. At no time, however,
will we disclose personal information about specific users. We
may occasionally use other companies, agents or contractors to perform services
necessary to our operations. In the course of providing such services, these
companies may have contact with your personally identifying information. By
contractual agreement, these companies must treat your information consistent
with this Policy. We will not be liable for any damages that may result from the
misuse of your personal information by these companies. From
time to time, we may have business relations with companies whose products we
believe will interest our users. We do not automatically include your name on
any list provided to a marketing company. With these companies we occasionally
send promotional announcements to particular customers. We may use a vendor to carry out
these mailings. However, the marketing company never sees your email address or
any other information that could identify you or be used to contact you
directly. Any
exceptions to this policy of sharing your name, address or email address with a
partner company will only be done with your permission. Security
and Access You can access your account from the site to update and correct your name, email address, password, postal address and other personal data. Please note that you must be signed in to CStew in order to access this information. All information is password protected. We
have implemented technology and security features, as well as internal
guidelines, to safeguard the privacy of your personal information from
unauthorized access or improper use. We will continue to enhance our security
procedures as new technology becomes available. While we make every effort to
ensure that your information is secure on our system, no data transmission over
the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, we cannot
guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at
your own risk. Contact
